“It often happened to us to supply carpentry labs with metal frames for the carrying-out of hand-made furniture. This way I started to imagine to accost a substance like metal, of which I know potentiality and limits, to other natural elements. BERKLEE College of Music Boston percussion department
whit Skip Hadden and Sergio Bellotti
A great spring (and fall) ritual for the percussion department at Berklee College of Music Boston to take a group of students for a visit at the factory of the n.1 cymbal manufacturer worldwide. Professors Skip Hadden and Sergio Bellotti were on duty to facilitate a great morning of cymbals hand picking, a visit of the production facilities and of course browsing through celebrities sets on display, and an incredible wall of photos and memorabilia representing the very finest in the industry. Artist relation Aaron Jackson presented a very well received master class.
247drums, a cymbal focused retail store, was also represented on site.
Very personal and always welcoming and friendly, Craigie Zildjian took time out of her CEO busy schedule to greet the students and be part of a group photo as well as attending the scheduled master class.
N.1 in cymbal making, and being humble with a big splash of humility (yes pun intended).
